The Henry Ford website

As part of our ongoing partnership with The Henry Ford, we were asked to lead the redesign of their new web site. The site was developed in conjunction with our programming partners, iwerk.

The site is mammoth in scope and complexity. We were charged with making sense of the myriad types of content, collecting and collating thousands of images, blending input from many different internal teams into a cohesive end package and creating a hip, more inviting and colorful product.

Working with partners iwerk, we developed several intensive interactive experiences, including dynamic maps for both Greenfield Village and The Henry Ford Museum. These richly illustrated Flash-based maps allow the user to explore the attractions virtually, clicking on exhibits and areas to access multiple photos, videos and information about each location.

We also developed an introductory video for the home page that shows the breadth and scope of the various attractions within The Henry Ford. This video is dynamic and allows the user to stop, dive deeper into a specific attraction’s offerings and step back out to the overall experience through a simple interface.
