EWI Worldwide “It’s Handled” Microsite

Octane worked closely with the EWI marketing team to fashion a microsite as the interactive kickoff for their new “It’s Handled” branding initiative. The launch was timed to the opening of World Expo 2010, hosted by China. The goal of this initial version of the microsite is to build awareness of EWI’s global reach and international experience. We worked with our programming partner, iwerk, to build the site on an extremely aggressive timeline. The site pulls in a live twitter feeds and features a simple to use content management system that enables EWI to easily update their portfolio, contact form, news items and social media connections. jQuery was used for animation on the site, making it mobile browser compliant and PC friendly.

Frankenmuth Brewery website

The historic Frankenmuth Brewery was reopened in late 2009 by new owners who selected Octane Design to design a new website for the brewery. The goal was to gather and use historic elements of the establishment and surrounding city to create a vibrant new site that would reflect this great heritage, while being contemporary enough to draw both old and new clientele to the brewery.

We worked with programming partners iwerk to create a bold, colorful and fun site that is rich in content and easy to use. The entire site is built on a flexible content management system, allowing the brewers and owners to easily update and upload new text and imagery throughout the site.

Cycle to Fitness Racing Greyhounds 2009 Iceman Jersey

We’re proud to be a sponsor of the Cycle to Fitness Racing Greyhounds and have been working with the team to develop their racing kit for the past 2 years. As part of our ongoing design efforts, we created a long-sleeve jersey for the Iceman Cometh Challenge: a 27 mile point-to-point mountain bike race from Kalkaska to Traverse City, Michigan held in November of every year. The jersey features the now familiar Greyhound plaid and the sleek, lovable Greyhounds mascot adorned in winter racing gear.

Go Greyhounds!

Gale Cengage Career Transitions Website

The Gale Cengage Career Transitions website is a new portal site that will allow users to self-evaluate their abilities, explore careers based on their answers and find job listings from around the country.

We created two versions of a prototype for Gale Cengage — a highly polished set of screens to guide the design of the finished product, and a clickable wireframe to allow test groups to interact with a working beta product. This allowed the project team and programming wing of Gale to better understand user needs and helped define the end product’s structure.
