Woodward Windows Detroit

Putting Detroit's creative culture on display

Commissioned by Design Core for a Bedrock storefront installation during Movement 2025, this project celebrated the creative forces that define Detroit’s identity. Inspired by the city’s architecture, automotive heritage and pioneering techno scene, a series of custom illustrations were transformed into a large-scale 3D window display, creating an immersive visual experience that brought Detroit’s culture and energy to life along Woodward Avenue.

Adding depth through details to honor Detroit’s legacy

A subtle tribute to the late Amp Fiddler was woven into the artwork, drawing appreciation from fans and his widow alike. The design also evolved during the process, with the Fisher Building replaced by the Book Tower at Bedrock’s request—a change that felt especially meaningful given our studio’s history in the building. To unify the installation, we created flowing striped elements with layers and depth, designed to appear as though they were moving in and out of the building and weaving throughout the display, visually connecting each piece into a cohesive experience.
